受到传统建筑中“缘侧 ”空间的启发，设计将桥转化为延续两岸凉亭缘侧空间的廊，并通过坡屋顶的剖面变化为桥与亭创造随路径切换的尺度体验。为了在有限的场地内放大人们对空间的体验与想象，设计取意于沧浪亭翠玲珑中的雁形平面，在迂回行经的动线中获得穿越不同空间的对角视线，丰富时间与空间的关联。
混凝土拱作为桥的结构跨越水面，两段廊桥分别悬于结构墙体的两侧，并在拱形的中央联结。由此，结构得以参与桥与亭时左时右，忽明忽暗的空间塑造。
Inspired by the " 缘侧 (engawa)" space in traditional architecture, the design transforms the bridge into a corridor that extends the engawa space of the pavilions on both banks. Through variations in the sloped roof profile, it creates a shifting sense of scale for the bridge and pavilions as one moves along the path. To amplify people's experience and imagination of space within the limited site, the design draws inspiration from the goose-shaped layout of the Cuiminglou in Canglang Pavilion. This allows for diagonal views through different spaces along the winding path, enriching the connection between time and space.
The concrete arch serves as the bridge's structure spanning the water. Two sections of the corridor bridge are suspended on either side of the structural walls, joining at the center of the arch. As a result, the structure participates in shaping the spaces of the bridge and pavilions, alternating between left and right, light and shadow.
